There are lots of used trucks for sale right now. |

Have you noticed all the used trucks for sale on street corners? A couple of years ago, it was hard to even find a used truck for sale, but right now, it seems like there are two or three for sale on every major cross street's corner. It's understandable, however, that there are so many trucks for sale. People can ill afford the fuel for them, especially if they are diesel trucks. Diesel is almost $5 a gallon in my city, and while diesel trucks usually get more miles to the gallon than gas-driven trucks, it's still a huge chunk of change to fill up one of those trucks. My neighbor has a diesel truck that holds 30 gallons, and it costs him $150 to fill it. He commutes to work in it, and needs two fills a week. It won't take him long to figure out that he needs to park that truck and get a different vehicle. He probably won't be able to get blue book value for it because of all the other used trucks on the market, but at least he won't be shelling out $300 a week for fuel. |
