The number of used trucks for sale is huge due to the current high gasoline prices and many used truck owners are selling their gas guzzeling pick-ups as fast as they can get rid of them. I live in a small rural community and many people own trucks due to the winter weather conditions so, as you can imagine, the number of used trucks for sale in just my small town is quite large. Why buy a used truck now with the high price of gas? Two reasons, at least as I see it. One reason is you are going to get a well maintained used truck at a rock bottom price and I am banking on the price of fuel coming back down in the near future. Plus the amount of fuel I would need for a used pick-up is not all that much because it would not be my primary vehicle. I would be using the truck for more specialized travel than short trips to the grocery store so, at least in my situation, a well maintained used truck is a very good deal right now.
