Used Trucks are Good Investments |

It seems like there are more used trucks for sale now that the construction industry is in the tank. Homebuilders had lots of staff in their construction departments, and many of their customer service representatives drove company trucks, as well as their superintendents. Now that many of these employees have been laid off, their used trucks are showing up for sale, as builders try to reduce their asset load. Used trucks from construction companies are probably not the best to buy; while they probably had the maintenance performed at regular intervals, the driving styles of some of these employees, and the terrain in which they were driven might have done some damage to the used trucks, themselves. Trucks keep their value quite well, compared to cars, so finding really affordable used trucks to build a fleet or start your own landscaping or construction business could be easier now that the construction industry has slowed. Of course, this is a tough time to start a construction business, but sometimes undertaking business development in tight markets can be a great way to build skills to help you survive through difficult times. |
