Once you have found a couple used cars for sale that you are interested in purchasing you have to begin to think about your game plan on how to pay the price that you want. Here are some tips to getting the used cars for sale by owner at the price that you can afford:

• You will first want to look at the Blue Book value of the vehicle in question.

• Look and ask about every component of the vehicle that needs to replaced or reconditioned.

• If going to the dealer do not let the dealer talk you into a newer version of the vehicle you want.

• Dealers do not go back to talk about reducing the price for you during negotiations, they are looking for ways to convince you to buy it at the price they want. Last time I purchased a vehicle from a dealer they reduced the price to what I wanted but then made no mention to the price (2,200) of the warranty that was included and made it sound like it was included in the given price.

• Start with a low offer that is acceptable so you get the best deal as possible.

• Used cars for sale are being sold for a reason, figure it out.
