So I am flipping through the news channels today and they had President Bush on describing his 20/10 plan. The goal of this plan is to reduce America's gas consumption by 20% over the next 10 years. Sounds good on paper but can it really happen. With gas going up so much in the past couple of years, can America really recover from it. Bush has a great idea to reduce gas consumption by working with the EPA in trying to use more bio-fuel. I would love for this to happen but can it? I know this blog is dedicated for knowing how to buy cars but this is an important aspect of someones search because many consumers today are worried about high gas prices and they are in search of a car with great fuel efficiency.

With all these SUV's and trucks out on the market, it is hard to find one that is fuel efficient. I leave it up to the manufacturers to make a car, truck, and SUV that will save us, the consumer, on gas. Believe me when I say that I wish gas was cheaper for their was an alternative. I recently purchased a used Ford Explorer, which gets around 12 miles to the gallon. It seems if I drive to the end of my block I need to put more gas in my car. I just wish this gas problem just went away. I was just watching a movie from 2004, that took place in California. This is a state that continually has gas prices above the national average, and in the movie, just three years ago mind you, the gas was only $1.74 a gallon. Truly remarkable.
