Gas or Hybrid |

This debate will go on forever. Hybrid is safer for the environment and safer on your wallet when it comes to gas but there are only a few models to choose from. You can quickly strike up a conversation with Leonardo DiCaprio if you own a hybrid car, for he only purchases hybrid cars because of his cause for the environment. But this is still a heated debate and I see in about ten years that this is going to get even more heated. As more car companies become aware of the consumer need for more hybrid cars, the companies are going to take note. FORD has already put out the first hybrid SUV, the Freestyle. It does not look that nice but it is a hybrid. Not many hybrids have an attractive body. Sometimes I think that car companies are doing that on purpose.
But who knows, right? For now, all we know is that gas is totally off the wall expensive and it really is hindering the way people buy cars. Instead of looking at quality, luxury, and comfort, people are looking for the car with the best gas mileage. It may not even be the car they want but as long as it does hit the wallet too hard, consumers are willing to buy it. But I feel that with more and more hybrids coming out and more of a consumer need, that gas prices will hopefully go down. I am an extremely wishful thinker!!! |
